Jim Smith is set to make changes for Oxford United's home game against Kidderminster tonight - insisting nothing less than a win will do.

And that's not just for tonight, but in the other remaining 11 games as well, if the U's are to have any chance of automatic promotion.

Following Saturday's disappointing 2-0 defeat by Forest Green, Smith said: "To stand any chance of catching Dagenham, we needed to stay unbeaten until the end of the season.

"That was based on the run including some draws, but we've lost the option of draws now . . . we've got to win, and win every game."

Carl Pettefer could come into the midfield, if United's manager wants to freshen up that department, and with Gavin Johnson taken off because Smith felt his legs had gone, there may be an opportunity for Rufus Brevett to return at left back.

Barry Quinn is also believed to be fit following his hamstring strain, and could come into the side at centre back to replace Phil Gilchrist, or at right back instead of Matt Day.

Top scorer Rob Duffy is available for this game, although he then misses Altrincham away on Saturday and Halifax away next Wednesday in a two-match ban after picking up his tenth booking of the season.

Marvin Robinson failed to impress when he replaced Duffy during the first half against Forest Green, and he could find his place as back-up striker coming under pressure from two directions.

Latvian Kris Grebis is recovering from an ankle injury, although he probably first needs a reserve game, while Billy Beechers has been waiting patiently for his chance, and may now get more opportunities, on the bench at least, when Duffy is suspended.

"Billy Beechers will come into the picture, and Kris Grebis will hopefully be fit this week," Smith said.

"That's been another problem because the reserves haven't had any games."

United drew 0-0 at Aggborough in October, and found Harriers tough opponents that night.

But with the their play-off hopes now looking slim, Kidderminster might just have more of an eye on the FA Carlsberg Trophy, with the semi-final second leg taking place this weekend.

"Kidderminster looked a good side when we played up there, and should have won, to be honest," said Smith.

"They then had a fantastic run before a little dip.

"They won last Saturday in the first leg of the Trophy semis, so that gives them a big boost as they've got a 2-0 lead to take to Northwich."

But all visiting teams seem to put in extra effort when playing at the Kassam Stadium.

"Wherever they are in the league we know that when they come here, they're a different side. It's their Wembley," he added.

"And if you look at our results, teams that couldn't win anywhere, have won - or drawn - here. It's a special place for them to come, and we have to counteract that.

"We've got to get back to playing well and winning games on Tuesday, and it's going to be a big, big game. But they're all big games for us at this stage."

Kidderminster are likely to be unchanged, with 12-goal James Constable now their leading scorer after surpassing Iyesden Christie, who has 11, at the weekend.
