Oxford City Stars are sweating on the fitness of Ben Moody ahead of tomorrow night's South Division play-off meeting at home to Kent Invicta (6pm).

Coach Darryl Morvan is already without flu victims Lukas Szabo and Chris Eames so will be anxious to ice Moody.

However Marlon Williams returns from illness, and Joe Oliver remains in the squad following his composed displays in recent weeks.

Last weekend, an injury-ravaged Oxford only lost 4-1 in Kent in the sides' first play-off clash, so the return leg should be a close encounter.

Despite having a depleted line-up, Morvan has promised Invicta a tough game.

"It epitomises our season that yet again we will be unable to send out a full-strength team for the match against Invicta," he said.

"Even before losing key players we would have been considered underdogs agai- nst Invicta, yet we proved last week that although reputations carry some weight, they are no substitute for commitment and hard work.

"The team last week played hard the whole game, and were unlucky not to come away with the result, a fact reflected both in comments after the game by Invicta supporters and players, and also on Invicta's website this week.

"These obstacles aside, I know this Oxford team can cause problems for Invicta.

"And I would suggest after last week's game, Invicta are coming to Oxford with considerably less confidence than they may care to admit.

"I am sure there will be some excellent ice hockey played, and if I were to pick one match this entire year to come along to as a spectator, this would be the one."
