MOTORPOINT, the UK car supermarket retailer, will be a sponsor of the MotoGP Team Roberts for the 2007 season.
The Banbury-based race team will field the number10 Honda powered KR212V bike carrying the eye-catching blue and red Motorpoint inspired livery, which will make its official public debut at the MotoGP season opener at the Losail circuit, Qatar, tomorrow.
Former world champion American Kenny Roberts Jr, who claimed two podiums in 2006, will once again be riding for the team in this year's 18-round championship.
Kenny Roberts Snr, principal of Team Roberts, said: "It is a real privilege to have the involvement of such a significant player in the automotive retail sector, and we look forward to a very exciting relationship which brings together two leading names from the respective fields.
"Our team has real commitment and confidence to build a very successful 2007 season and we are very excited that Motorpoint are a part of it".
