Didcot Town boss Stuart Peace says the departure of striker Stuart Beavon (pictured) is like Chelsea being without the services of Didier Drogba.

Town have not won a British Gas Business Southern League Division 1 South & West since Beavon joined Weymouth and have dropped out of the play-off zone.

By contrast, Beavon has netted five times in eight appearances for the Conference side.

"I don't like to dwell on the Stuart Beavon situation," said Peace, whose side host Brook House tomorrow.

"Stuart has been a huge loss to us. Obviously, it's on a different scale, but it is like Chelsea without Drogba. Without him they would be nothing. You can't replace quality players like that overnight."

However, Peace has not given up the play-offs.

"There are still 36 points up for grabs. We will do our best to win those and see what happens."

Didcot will be without the services of Matty Jack, Grant Goodall (both suspended) and Ross Weatherstone (calf injury), while Andy Parrott has a late test on an ankle injury.

Defender Dave Green returns.

Oxford City will be without striker John Mitchell when they host Lymington & New Milton (business trip).

Youngster Steve Davis gets a call up.

Player-manager Justin Merritt has sounded a warning to his side.

"The season is not over yet and I don't want the players thinking they can sit back and win a few games - I want us to win them all."

Midfielder Julian McCalmon returns from suspension for Abingdon United when they host Uxbridge.

Jermaine McSporran is still sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Banbury United boss Kevin Brock is looking for his side to use Tuesday's Oxfordshire Senior Cup quarter-final win at North Leigh to help them climb away from the Premier Division drop zone when they travel to Chippenham.

"We played well against North Leigh. We dominated throughout," said Brock.

"It's a great confidence boost and we're looking to push on from there," added Brock.

Paul Lamb (ankle) is their only doubt.

Banbury's trip to Didcot in the Errea Cup semi-finals has been re-scheduled for next Tuesday at Loop Meadow Stadium.
