Pete Sloan netted a double as strugglers Coleshill United boosted their hopes of avoiding the drop with a shock 2-0 win at North Berks League Division 1 leaders Lambourn Sports.

The victory, Coleshill's second on the spin, lifts them five points clear of the drop zone.

Grove Rangers' relegation fears increased with a 4-3 defeat at Steventon. Chris Whitworth, Ben Williams and Chris Roche netted for Rangers, but Ben Parry (2), Danny Parry and Paul Churchouse scored for Steventon.

Wallingford Athletic got back to winning ways with a 3-1 win over Marcham, with Andy Allum, Luke Best and James Ham on target.

Nic Ridge bagged a brace for Wootton & Dry Sandford as they hammered Saxton Rovers Res 6-1 in Division 2.

Tommy Cook, Tom Srawley, Joffy Boreham and Warren Ireson were their other marksmen.

Third-placed Harwell International were held to a 1-1 draw at Appleton (Abingdon), with Paul Haines on target for Appleton and Ben Higgins netting for Harwell.

Sutton Courtenay remain on the fringe of the promotion race following a 3-0 win at Benson AFC, with goals from Nuno Fernandes, Ian Dingwall and Phil Jeacock.

A brace from Tim Barton helped Long Wittenham to their fourth win in succession, as they completed a double over Blewbury Res, in a 4-2 success.

Phil Lynch and Danny Osborne got their others, with Lee Janes and Des Healy replying.

In Division 3, Ardington Res drew 1-1 with Drayton Res.

Frankie Dorrian netted for Ardington, Rob Hudson scoring for Drayton.

Challow United took over at the top of Division 4 with a 5-4 win against Hanney United.

It looked god for Challow as they cruised into a 3-0 lead, but Hanney hit back to level.

Challow then nudged ahead again only for Hanney to equalise at 4-4 before the home side sealed victory.

Adam Wise, Kevin Pryde, Lee Cheril, Dean Caven and an own goal made up Challow's tally.

Mike Davidson, David Laye (2) and Mehmet Izer found the back of the net for Hanney.
