Rover Oxford Ladies moved two points clear at the top of Women's League Division 1 after beating Harrow 3-1, while title rivals Epsom could only draw.
Rover went ahead when Vicky Mankelow pounced on a rebound off the goalkeeper's pads.
Harrow levelled just before half-time against the run of play, but some slick short-corner routines saw Kara Haines and Mankelow score twice more.
Oxford Hawks look set to finish in mid-table after losing 5-2 to promotion-chasing Southgate.
The London side converted two penalty corners in the opening ten minutes with strong first-time strikes.
Hawks equalised with two goals in two minutes.
The first came from Henri Coles's strike, cleverly deflected in by Jo Tolson, while Tolson then ran half the length of the pitch to win a penalty flick which Zoe Salter slotted away for No 2.
In the closing minutes of the half, Southgate went 3-2 up and they added two more after the break for a flattering scoreline.
Division 3A title-chasers Oxford University won 8-2 at Newbury & Thatcham.
