OXFORDSHIRE won four medals at the under 13 national championships in Milton Keynes.
Ethan Rose, of Oakley, won a bronze in boys singles, Didcot’s Safia Khimji landed a silver in girls doubles, while Christian Mitchell, of Woodstock, took a silver in both boys and mixed doubles.
Bronwynn Ready, of Long Wittenham, won a bronze medal at her first Badminton England silver tournament at Welwyn.
Ready beat the top seed, Lucy Cooper of Devon, early on, but lost 15-12, 15-13 to Hertfordshire’s Abbie Smith in a tight semi-final.
Oxfordshire under 15’s ended their Shires League campaign, losing 18-2 to Bucks at Eynsham.
Their wins came from the pairings of Natalia Mitchell & Maisie Marriott and Jamie Cackett & Kaylan Jensen.
