Aston Rowant father and son Alan and Joe Hill can’t wait for Consigliere to run in the St James’s Place Foxhunter Chase at the Cheltenham Festival today, writes RUSSELL SMITH.

The 12-year-old gelding has won both his point-to-point starts since joining the Hills from David Pipe last summer.

After partnering Ravethebrave to an easy victory for his trainer-father at the Kingston Blount point-to-point meeting last weekend, Joe could hardly contain his excitement as he looked forward to riding Consigliere.

“I am absolutely buzzing,” he said. “I can’t wait to ride him.

“I schooled him and rode work on him in the last week and he makes everything else look ordinary.
