Wantage Town will be without several key figures for their crunch clash away to fellow Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West strugglers Bishops Cleeve tomorrow.

Adam Doyle (knee), Tai Hulbert-Thomas (ankle) and Karl Roberts (foot) are all injured, while Mark Janes and Adam Lovegrove are both absent due to work commitments.

It’s a major blow for the Alfredians, whose hopes of avoiding relegation could rest on the result.

“By a million miles it’s our biggest game of the season,”

said manager Daniel Barry.

“We’re relying on Bishops Cleeve and Fleet dropping points in their games in hand.

“That’s why if we don’t win on Saturday we could be in big trouble.

“There’s nowhere to hide this weekend.”

Didcot Town are hoping for a repeat performance when they travel to Yate Town.

The Railwaymen claimed a vital 1-0 victory over promotion rivals Shortwood United to move to within three points of the play-off places and joint manager Ian Concannon is hoping for more of the same against Yate.

He said: “It’s going to be just as tough. They’re a difficult side to play and they certainly won’t make it easy for us.

“If we show the same type of commitment as we did against Shortwood then we’ll give ourselves a great chance.”

Striker Jimmy Deabill returns after missing out on Tuesday due to work.

Another crucial clash in the play-off race seesfellow contenders North Leigh travel to fourth-placed Stratford Town.
