Rover Oxford maintained their winning ways with a 5-4 victory at South Bucks to move two points clear at the top of the South League Regional Division.
The title-chasers started poorly, conceding from a penalty stroke and penalty corner.
Bucks were reduced to ten men and Rover managed to capitalise on the man advantage with Toby Langdon notching his third of the season with a penalty corner flick.
Langdon then received his marching orders, for a deliberate foot. However, Rover themselves were soon awarded a penalty stroke, which Rich Beer despatched.
Rover conceded an early goal in the second half but soon hit back through Rob Lawrence's first of the season.
Bucks regained the lead but after Rich Beer levelled, the home side completely lost their discipline and were reduced to eight players.
The winning goal came from Beer, who completed a hat-trick, taking his total to 20 goals.
Abingdon were beaten 3-2 at home by Bicester in Division 1, losing to a late penalty corner.
Bicester went two up through Wayne Buxey and Gary Kemp.
Will Trigg scored from close range after a strong run from Josh Tomlinson. Then Ron Smith scored a well-deserved equaliser for Abingdon with a fierce lifted shot from 12 yards.
However, Tim Yates grabbed Bicester's late winner.
City of Oxford won 4-3 at bottom club Harrow with Chris Brougham and Andy Small both hitting braces.
Other scores: Rover Ox 2nd 5 (A Wynd 3, J Neilson 2); M Keynes 2nd 2; City 2nd 0, Slough 2nd 3; Rangarhia 3rd 3, City 3rd 0.
