Oxford City Stars face back-to-back matches this weekend as they bid to stay in contention for a English National League South Division play-off spot.
But they know that, should they fail to win at least one of the games, their dream will be all but over.
Stars travel to Swindon Wildcats today, and then entertain Basingstoke Buffalo tomorrow.
As well as being a local derby, the Swindon clash sees no fewer than five ex-Stars players take on their former side.
Coach Darryl Morvan says that his side are ready for the challenge.
"The way that some of the former players left has made some of their ex-teammates feel quite aggrieved," he said.
"Tempers may flair, but the team know that they must keep their cool.
"If our hopes of a play-off spot are to reach fruition though we need to beat Basingstoke on Sunday - and do so by more than the four-goal margin they defeated us by earlier in the season."
Stars are without Alan Green, whose loan spell has finished, so call on Joe Oliver and Chris Eames. Nick Oliver is expected to be fit.
