A double from substitute Ross Weatherstone, saw Didcot get back to winning ways in Division 1 South & West with a 3-1 win against Lymington & New Milton at the nPower Loop Meadow Stadium on Saturday.

The former Oxford United man made an immediate impact after coming on ten minutes from time, scoring Didcot's second before sealing victory with No 3.

Didcot took the lead midway through the first half, Stuart Beavon (pictured) unselfishly squaring the ball to strike-partner Ian Concannon who finished in typical style low past Mark Watson.

Within a minute, it could easily have been 2-0, but for an incredible double save from Watson to deny firstly Beavon and then Jamie Brooks.

Didcot keeper Alex Dead- man then came to his side's rescue with a low stop from Danny Gibbons.

The first half finished with Beavon almost scoring with a fine volley from 20 yards that flashed wide.

Despite having the advantage of the wind after the break, Lymington were still causing problems, with Kevin James and ex-Bournemouth player Christer Warren going close.

Beavon should have done better at the other end when substitute Shaun Dyke worked an opening, but he blazed high and wide.

Weatherstone replaced Concannon on 80 minutes, heading in Dyke's free kick for Didcot's second.

Two minutes from time, Didcot were rocked when they conceded their third penalty in consecutive games, James Stokoe sending Deadman the wrong way.

After Deadman denied Stokoe an equaliser, Weatherstone grabbed his second in stoppage time, getting his head to another Dyke free-kick, to cap a fine ten-minute cameo display.
