OXFORDSHIRE’S Dan Lewis led from start to finish to win the long course event at the Tri Ferris Cirencester Spring Off-Road race.
Lewis (RAF Tri) finished almost four minutes ahead of another Oxon athlete, Lewis King (Beeline Bicycles).
The opening two-mile run saw Lewis clock 13mins 45.2secs to take control.
Veteran King (15.53.9) was only 17th at this point, but the Oxfordshire pair shone on the puddle-filled gravel ten-mile bike course.
Lewis (37.20.6) stayed ahead, while King (35.47) climbed to second.
On the final two-mile run, Lewis (14.11.7) eased clear of King (17.25.6), clocking a total time of 1hr 6mins 53.9secs to the Beeline man’s 1.10.44.1.
