RACHEL Ealey is the European Super Welterweight champion.
o The 22-year-old, from Long Hanborough, Witney, produced a devastating display to take the crown at the Littlesdown Centre, Bourne- mouth.
Ealey, who has been doing martial arts since the age of eight, took on Janine Davies, from the Bulldogs Gym, for the title.
And despite facing a double European champion, Ealey stopped Davies in the fifth of nine scheduled rounds to claim the crown.
A left hook in the first round caused Davies's right eye to swell and bruise.
With Ealey targeting the area, the eye grew worse over the following rounds.
After the fifth round, the doctor declared Davies unfit to continue.
Ealey will now take on Siren Sorrenson, from Norway, next year for the world title.
Ealey has trained with John Shiels, British Karate Champion and British Full Contact Champion for the past 14 years, as well as with Mike Fowles, a two-times European champion.
She is a 3rd Dan Black Belt in Bujinkai Karate and Warriors Kickboxing, and trains at Fighting Fit (Martial Arts Gym) in Banbury, where she also teaches.
