PREMIER Division promotion-chasers Hungerford Town have announced they will donate the receipts from tomorrow's clash with North Leigh to the Danny Campbell Fund.
Didcot Town defender Campbell, who has leukaemia, is a close friend of Hungerford captain and former teammate Bradley Ward, and the Hungerford committee had considered a number of ways to donate to the fund.
Their chairman, Andrew Fitton, said: "I don't know Danny personally, but I know that he and Bradley are good friends.
"I know a fair bit about leukaemia because a member of my family suffered from it, and even though the latest treatments are excellent, it will be a tough time for the lad.
"I hope that the people of Hungerford, North Leigh and from the surrounding area will come along as by turning out they can make a direct contribution."
Ward added: "It's a great gesture - it shows that the team spirit we have here at Hungerford Town goes throughout the club from top to bottom."
Didcot press officer Steve Clare said: "We're bowled over by the gesture from two clubs that we've always had a fantastic relationship with. I'm sure Danny and his family will be overwhelmed by the offer."
Assistant player-manager Gary Murphy takes charge of North Leigh for their trip to Hungerford as boss Mark Gee is away.
Striker Mark Dennis returns to the squad after his wife gave birth to twins, but centre back Karl Dodds (suspension), Chris Allen (ankle) and Gary Wright (calf) remain sidelined.
