PHOEBE Basham, from Woodstock, won her first eight and under mini tournament at St Hugh’s, Faringdon, after coming out top in a three-way tie by virtue of winning two extra points.
Harry Storey defeated Tobi Hickman 11-9 in the boys’ event.
Jana Cooper-Marcos (White Horse) finished third and was the highest-placed Oxfordshire player in the 12 and under Grade 4 event at Abingdon’s White Horse Leisure & Tennis Centre.
