MIDLANDS 2 WEST SOUTH
TWO tries from wing Alex Gandy helped Banbury Bulls beat Bedworth 40-12 at Bodicote Park.
Bedworth were not helped by fly half Adam Chapman being red-carded on the half hour.
Lock Nick Pratt crashed over for Bnabury’s opening score, converted by fly half Alex Fogavini, who enjoyed an impressive debut.
Bulls flanker Chris Phillips powered in from the edge of the 22 for try No 2.
Scrum half Jack Davis replied with a Bedworth try, converted by Luke Storer.
Gandy’s brace came either side of a score from Bedworth lock Lee Cooper, with Fogavini kicking his fourth straight conversion for a 28-12 half-time lead.
Wing Josh Deegan and hooker Micky Fox added further Banbury tries, Fogavini converting one.
But the game became increasingly scrappy, with Fogavini and Bedworth flanker Cameron Sweeney sin-binned for fighting in the closing minutes.
