NATIONAL 2 SOUTH
TRISTAN Corpe was Chinnor’s matchwinner for the second week running as they roared back to win 24-19 at Shelford.
Having scored four tries in their rout of Dings Crusaders, the wing struck decisively on 79 minutes as Chinnor hit back from 19-3 down.
The visitors, who are now second in the table, trailed 12-0 after No 8 Feofaaku Lea and centre William Lawson went over, fly half Adam White converting the latter.
Chinnor fly half James Cathcart replied with a penalty, but the sin-binning of visiting prop Nathaniel Tichard-Jones led to Shelford wing Steven Smith scoring and White converting.
Shelford flanker Jamie Beswick and hooker Francis Ambrose were yellow-carded before half-time.
Chinnor hit back with a try from hooker Ed Vickers on 41 minutes, Cathcart converting.
Ambrose was then sent off for a second yellow card and Cathcart converted a try from Chinnor full back Matt Mountford.
Shelford still led 19-17, but Corpe dashed their hopes and Cathcart converted his try.
