Izi’s Bar are the new ODDA Summer League champions after grabbing the three wins they required to land the Premier Section title.

They saw off closest rivals Goodlake Arms A 6-3 thanks to singles victorties from Jason Ellis, Andy Hoare (180), Ade Larner and Ian Moss (180), plus a 2-1 pairs success.

Kevin Wilkins hit two maximums and Chris Hughes one as Goodlake finished runners-up.

In Section 2, Rose Hill CC signed off with a 7-2 win at Democrats, which leaves them nine points ahead of Marlborough Club, who have one fixture remaining.

Vikings have one hand on the Section 3 crown, although Masons can force an unlikely play-off if they win in their remaining two games 9-0.

Littlemore RFC got the points required at Chequers, where a 5-4 victory sealed the Section 4 title. Chequers missed out on the runners-up spot to Village Inn A by a single point.

Cowley Conservative Club are Section 7 champions, while second place will be decided by a play-off between Gladiators, who lost 5-4 at Crown House B, and Northway, who won 6-3 at Catherine Wheel B, Florence Park beat hosts the Priory 6-2 to claim the Section 8 honours, both teams fielding five players. The Priory are runners-up.

In the ladies’ league, the Section 2 title will be decided by a play-off after long-time leaders Vikings crashed to a 5-4 defeat to the visiting Donnington CC. That allowed Berinsfield CC to earn their play-off place thanks to a 5-4 success over Black Horse B.

Six Bells C are in the driving seat at the top of Section 3 after a 7-2 win at Nuffield Lounge B put them eight points clear of Corner House, 7-2 winners at Catherine Wheel D.

Kidlington Green marked their ODDA bow by landing the Section 4 crown thanks to a 5-4 win at East Oxford Conservative Club, while second-placed Masons suffered a 5-4 defeat to the visiting Six Bells A. They held on to second place by a point.

Section 7 leaders Kings Arms visited the Kite. where Gayner Parker, Mary Bound, Michelle Rolfe and Denna Willoughby gave them a 4-0.

Pat Underwood got the Kite on the board, but the visitors increased their lead to 5-1 through Karen Hewson and a 2-1 pairs win which leaves them needing just two points from their last game to lift the title.
