HENLEY Hawks will host Exeter Chiefs in EDF Energy National Trophy round four after coming from behind to edge out a spirited Havant 26-20.
The National 1 side will visit Dry Leas on January 20, but Henley had to rally against National 3 South Havant, who still led 20-7 just after the break.
However, the introduction of first-choice forwards Liam Wordley, Rob Hurell and former Havant player Dave Archer at half-time inspired a Hawks recovery.
Samoan fly half Pucs Ngapaku and Kiwi No 8 Graham Firth set up Havant's opening try for skipper Stu Ingram on three minutes.
Ngapaku converted and the hosts laid siege to the Hawks defence.
Henley lock James Winterbottom was yellow-carded for bringing down a line-out jumper and Havant flanker John Barfoot scored from the resulting catch and drive.
Hawks hit back on 25 minutes when Andy Le Chevalier and James Gaunt set up a try for winger Alan Gill, which fly half Jim Farndon converted.
This came despite Chaska Loubser having been sin-binned for punching.
But a second catch and drive score, this time from Firth, made it 17-7.
Debutant full back Stuart O'Flanagan came close for Henley before the break, but unselfishly passed inside and the ball was snaffled up.
Hawks' cavalry was supplemented by replacement Luke Burns' return from injury, but Ngapaku's penalty stretched Havant's lead.
There was now much more zip to Henley's play and they powered back into contention with a catch and drive try from Winterbottom, converted by Farndon.
Hawks made the most a of yellow card to home prop Ingram to bag a pushover score through Archer, which Farndon converted to make it 21-20.
Havant threatened again with some fresh legs, but with ten minutes to go Hawks' replacement scrum half James Honeyben ran in from 50 metres.
Henley had to hang on and ended with injuries to Wordley, Gaunt and centre Paul Dunckley.
