Sam van de Schootbrugge was again in top form as City of Oxford produced a cracking display at the Oxford 'City Leisure' Designated Open Meet.

The 13-year-old won medals in all 12 of his events in the 13/14 year old age group, achieving golds in the backstroke and butterfly, silvers in the IM and freestyle and significant personal bests in the breaststroke.

The 200m IM (2mins 19.75secs) and 200 back (2.15.27) were 14-year-old national qualifying times.

Returning from injury, 16-year-old Matthew Corbett produced two superb winning performances in 200m freestyle (1.57.85) and 200m backstroke (2.10.16), both in national qualifying times.

Corbett also took silver in the 100m backstroke and picked up bronze in the 50m freestyle.

The Canlan-Shaws, Pippa (17) and Joe (18), both finished first in three events.

Pippa won the 50m butterfly, 200m butterfly and 200m breaststroke, while Joe triumphed in the 50m backstroke, 200m backstroke and 200m IM.

Recovering from illness, Laura Ralph was victorious in both the 14-year-old 200m IM and 200m breaststroke races, and took medals in the 200m (silver) and 100m (bronze) freestyle events.

Ten-year-old Thomas Ruddell excelled in his 200m events, achieving a gold, silver and bronze in the freestyle, butterfly and backstroke respectively.

There were also victories for Emma Ball in the 50m backstroke and Susanna Prince in the 100m backstroke.

Carla Prince, swimming in the 15/16-year-old category, won silver in the 200m freestyle and bronzes in the 100m IM and 100m breaststroke.

Hannah Vine, 12, won silver in the 50m and bronze in 100m breaststroke, while Nick Boazcame second in the 100m and third in the 50m breaststroke.

Additional bronze medallists were Matthew Sanderson (50m and 100m butterfly), James Warren (50m freestyle) and Jonathan Scanlan (200m backstroke).
