An unbeaten century from Paul Jackson helped Stonesfield 2nd to a six-wicket home win over Swinbrook 2nd in OCA League Division 7.
Tom Julian had scored 93 in Swinbrook’s 216-4, but 110 not out from Jackson and 69 not out from Sam Hibberd led Stonesfield to 220-4.
Father and son Mike and George Markham starred for Westbury at Kidlington 2nd. George hit 82 not out and Mike 59 in Westbury’s 276-4, before Kidlington were restricted to 220-5, despite 91 not out from Graham Eagle.
Ian Clewley’s unbeaten ton helped East & West Hendred to a six-wicket win over Steventon.
The visitors had rattled up 264-8, led by Achintha Jayasanka’s 91.
But 116 not out from Clewley saw Hendred to victory at 266-4.
Broughton & North Newington 2nd marched on at the top of Division 8, running out 50-run victors at Chadlington. Damian Cannard (68) and Olly Troup (61no) saw Broughton post 231-7 in their 45 overs, despite 6-71 from James Kelly.
Chadlington were then restricted to 181-6 in reply.
Ducklington moved up to second place, leap-frogging Chipping Norton 2nd with a 17-run away win.
Jacob Souch (47) and Kane Lewis (43no) helped the visitors post 193 all out, Mark Jarvis taking 5-43.
Chippy were bowled out for 176 in their reply as Ryan Lewis took 4-38.
Combe 2nd hammered the highest score of the weekend – 341-2 – at home to Marcham 2nd.
Matthew Purssell smashed 177 not out and Julian Chaundy 101 not out in Combe’s total, which was way beyond Marcham, who closed on 165-7.
In Division 9, Wolvercote 2nd closed the gap on leaders Witney Swifts with a 143-run home victory over Sunningwell.
Jason Elliott top-scored with 99 not out in Wolvercote’s 229-4, before Jonathan Campion claimed 5-31 as Sunningwell crawled to 86-9 from their 45 overs.
A fine all-round display from Russell Vircavs helped Garsington 3rd to a 58-run win at Eynsham 2nd.
Vircavs top-scored with 47 in Garsington’s 199-6, before he claimed 6-26 to dismiss Eynsham for 141.
In Division 10, Risinghurst 2nd stayed clear at the top after a six-wicket win at Wootton & Boars Hill.
Raj Kumar scored 82 not out to lead Risinghurst to 132-4 in reply to Wootton’s 130 all out.
