Former Radley runner Carolyn Plateau failed to make the final of the 800m at the Sainsbury’s British Championships in Birmingham yesterday.

She finished fourth behind winner Marilyn Okoro in her heat in 2.06.47, just outside her season’s best time.

Rhys Glastonbury, who lives in Long Hanborough, also missed out after finishing 11th in the heats of the 1,500m, crossing the line in 3.48.25.
