King Alfred’s (Wantage) booked places in both under 13 finals in the space of two days.

A 53-run win over Henry Box (Witney) in the County Cup was followed by a 73-run victory against Warriner (Bloxham) in the league semi-finals.

Andy Francis (40) and Alex Kay, with 39, led the way against Henry Box as King Alfred’s scored 150-2, before reducing their opponents to 97-7.

Tom Gould top-scored with 66 in their win over Warriner, where Andy Francis hit 25 and then took 3-11 as their rivals ended on 77-7 in reply to King Alfred’s 150-7.

Meanwhile, Owais Choudhury hit the last ball for four as Cheney School (Oxford) beat Henry Box (Witney) by two wickets in the Under 15 County Vase final.
