OXFORD United will not take part in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy first round this season after being handed a bye.
Chris Wilder's men, who beat Swindon Town 1-0 in last year's first round, are one of eight teams in the southern section to bypass the opening stage.
The U's reached the area semi-final last season, losing on penalties to Southend United following a 3-3 draw at the Kassam Stadium.
The second round ties are due to be played in the week commencing October 7.
