Great & Little Tew suffered a dramatic collapse before hanging on for a draw at Reading in a rain-affected Division 2 West match.
Reading made 179-8 after winning the toss and deciding to bat, with opener Praful Waghela hitting a fluent 76 off 84 balls with ten fours.
He received good support from Martin Anderson (33) in a 92-run second-wicket stand, while Joe White picked up 4-25 off six overs.
But then Tew slumped to 89-8 off their 31 overs.
They were soon in trouble at 44-4 with only Curtly Slatter (26) providing any resistance.
And when they lost four more wickets for the addition of two runs to be 53-8 it looked like they were heading for defeat.
But Matt Woods (25no) and skipper Andy Harris saw them through to the close.
Scores: Reading 179-8 (39 ovs, P Waghela 76), Great & Little Tew 89-8 (31 ovs). Reading 13pts, Great & Little Tew 6.
