RADLEY came second in their Sweatshop Southern League Division 1 third round meeting at Bromley, despite fielding a depleted team.

Having finished 17 points adrift of hosts Blackheath & Bromley, Radley remain second in the table, but are now one point behind Southampton.

Among the stand-out performers was sprinter David Gain, who won the men’s 100m and 200m in 10.85secs and 21.57.

Ben Owen clocked 49.84 for victory in his debut 400m race, while decathlete Osman Muskwe won the high jump (1.85m), long jump (6.83) and shot put (14.20).

Radley’s Kathryn Woodcock won the ladies’ discus (38.51).

City finished 14½ points clear of Ealing, Southall & Middlesex to go fifth in the table.

Matthew Gain won the men’s 100m and 200m in 12.08 and 23.96, while Mark Warland took the long jump (6.26m) and discus (31.52).

Adela Hussain claimed the ladies’ 200m (26.75) and 100m hurdles (17.07), with Aliysa Codrington winning the 100m (13.30) and 400m (1.03.5).

Danielle Anderson bagged a discus (29.86) and javelin (32.05) double.
