COMPETITORS in Hinksey Heights’ captain’s day this weekend could get more than they bargained for, with a car up for grabs.
A Skoda Fabia, worth £10,500, is the reward for anyone who gets a hole in one at the 171-yard par three tenth hole.
Players can have as many attempts as they want, at £5 per shot.
All proceeds will go the captains’ chosen charity, Thomley Hall, a recreational facility for disabled children and their families at Worminghall, near Thame.
Christine Clark, the club’s ladies captain, said: “We have to thank Jewsons Skoda for providing the car. Hopefully it will attract more players because that will help us raise money for a great cause.”
Non-members are welcome to take part in the competition, with admission £20. Players need to arrive by 8.30am.
