WITNEY Lakes won their first Shaw Gibbs Oxfordshire Foursomes League match of the season with a 2-1 success at home to Drayton Park in Section 2.
Charlie Normanton and Ross Steeples got them away to a fine start in the opening contest, beating Andrew and Darren Morton 5 & 4.
The points were secured by Steve Putt and Martin Tyler, who edged past Graham Shirley and Harry Wilkinson by one hole.
Steve and Charlie Naylor ensured Drayton left with a point, taking the final match by two holes against Anthony Day and Charlie Morgan.
Scott Pearson and Bill Hayden were the difference, as Badgemore Park beat Rye Hill on a play-off to reach the Knock-out Cup quarter finals.
The pair’s match with Jon Rose and Tim Smithers finished all square, but after the match finished level, they won on the first extra hole to book a meeting with Tadmarton Heath in the last eight.
Frilford Heath will take on Buckingham in the next round after winning 2-1 at Hadden Hill.
