SAM Hollingshead took 5-30 for Tiddington as Challow & Childrey collapsed to 72 all out on their way to a nine-wicket defeat.

Challow’s decision to bat first looked sound when they reached 30 without loss from six overs.

But a rain delay did them no favours as they managed only 42 more runs on their return to the crease.

Aussie Luke Stutter top-scored with 30 as the home side fell for less than 100 for the second time this season.

Matt Maule’s 32 helped Tiddington reach 74-1 with few alarms.

Leaders Cumnor saw their four-match winning streak come to an end at Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts.

The visitors managed 179-6 from 36 overs, with the in-form Ali Morteza hitting 65 and Matt Lake 31, while Mark Strong took 3-35.

Nondies are the slowest scorers in the division, so it was no surprise that they managed only 75-6 from 28 overs. Tom Ingram took 3-28.

Wolverton Town’s highest total of the season – 141-9 – was more than enough to see off Abingdon Vale.

Charles Smook took 3-32 for Vale, who promptly slumped to 78 all out, just seven days after they were blown away for 54 at home to Challow.

No one had an answer to Idrees Butt (5-37), who collected his third five-wicket haul of the summer, and Zaheer Khan (4-16).

Cropredy received only 28 overs in reply due to the weather, and Matt Pearce (4-30) had them in trouble. But Mitchell Darville (51no) steered them to 127-8.
