Three girls from Oxford School of Gymnastics are preparing to face their biggest ever challenge.

The trio have earned a place in the final selection event to decide who will represent Great Britain at the European Acrobatic Championships later this year.

Thame sisters Gabrielle, 18, and Cossette Jackson, 15, plus 13-year-old Nina Ferber from Chinnor, are the reigning South of England junior champions.

They were invited to trial for Team GB having won the silver medal at the recent British Championships.

The girls who perform as a ‘trio’ and train six days a week have already fought their way through the first selection event .

In the final trial, they will perform three routines as they bid to secure their the ‘junior trio’ place in the team.

Gabrielle said: “This is our big chance and something we have been working towards for years.

“Getting through to the final trial was just amazing. “We will have to wait until July to find out if we have made it, but simply being invited to trial for Team GB is such an honour.”
