OXFORD United are believed to be close to clinching their second signing of the summer.

David Hunt was released by Crawley Town and although the 30-year-old has not yet signed for Chris Wilder's side, he looks set to complete the move later this week.

The right back had a year remaining on his contract with the League One club, but the Oxford Mail understands it was terminated due to a longer term offer from elsewhere.

United's only signing during the close season so far is Jonathan Meades, who joined on a two-year deal last month.
