Retired Witney fireman Martin Crapper saw his reunited team finish 20th out of a fleet of nearly 1,500 boats in the JP Morgan Asset Management Round The Island Race (Isle of Wight).
Crapper, 57, together with Oxfordshire’s former chief fire officer, John Parry, ex-servicemen Peter Tonks and Alan Hoar, plus serving officer John Paul Phillips completed the world famous 50-nautical mile course in 9hrs 22mins 32secs.
