Dorchester AC’s annual outing proved one to remember as no fewer than five anglers caught more than 100lb of fish from Boddington Reservoir in Northamptonshire.

Rod Rose led them home with 156.14.0 of carp, followed by Lee Edmonds (146.10.0) and Martin Robinson (108.12.0), the latter pipping fellow centurions Phil Copley and Warren Cave by a few ounces. All used pellet.

Fourteen matchmen contested the final Predator Spring League fixture at Butler’s Hill, near Great Rollright, where Andy Benwell (Predator) took top spot with 41.8.0 of carp on pole and paste.

Harry Oliver (Predator) was close behind with 38.0.0 of carp on pole and cat meat, followed by Craig Partridge with 35.14.0 on pole.

Overall, Matt Ryman (Predator) held on to to his cup from last year, with Predator boss Tony Wright second and Henry Clarke (Kidlington) third.

North Oxford AS’s Summer Canal Series also came to a close, at King’s Bridge.

Although there was heavy boat traffic, Bob Yeomans (RAF Garbolino) weighed in 10.0.0 of quality skimmers on chopped worm and casters for first place.

John Coleman had 4.5.0 of skimmers and perch for second, while Maurice Winstone was third with 3.13.0 of perch and hybrids.

Nine anglers turned out for Masons AC’s first match of the new season at Clattercote.

Dave Pether caught four carp on boilie and feeder for a winning 27.5.0. Second was Pete Callaghan with two skimmers, a carp and a tench on pellet and corn with the feeder for 12.6.0, followed by Paul Armstrong with a 11.14.0 on feeder and boilie.
