Witney father and son Geoff and Joel Enoch are heading out to Turkey to compete in the European Triathlon Championships in Alanya.
Former Wood Green School pupil Joel, 32, who took up triathlon in 2005 while at university, has represented GB at European and world championship level since 2008, and in Melbourne in 2009 was fastest European in the 25-30 class.
But on June 15, it is the first time they will be competing as a pair at international level, having both qualified together.
Geoff, 62, who competes in the 60-65 age group, says he was relishing making his international bow alongside Joel.
“I’m quite proud about it,” he said.
“It is very strange to be representing your country at my age, but I have worked hard and trained consistently.”
