Neil Ashcroft won Didcot Phoenix’s ten-mile club championship after an intensely fought race between the top four riders.

Ashcroft won with a time of 22mins 14secs – just two seconds ahead of runner-up Steve Mead.

A further two seconds back came Mike Cooper, who came third just ahead of last year’s champion Ron Smith (22.20).

Simon Macgowan came home in fifth place in a time of 22.30.

Sam Dorkings not only broke, but smashed the 25 minute barrier with 23.59.

Laura Cooper (26.15) edged out Zoe Ludwig Tantrum to win the ladies trophy Didcot are staging their next ‘Come Try It’ time trial at Stadhampton on Thursday, June 13.
