NEIL Smith made the most of perfect playing conditions to become The Wychwood’s club champion.
He mastered the quick greens to card a 36-hole gross total of 153, three shots clear of nearest challenger Andy Tyler.
Tom Garrett comfortably won the handicap trophy with a nett 144, six shots ahead of Stuart Dalgarno.
It was part of a busy weekend at the club, who also hosted their pro-am in much trickier conditions.
Wychwood professional Tom Field and his assistant Rob Knight finished in a share of sixth place with rounds of 78.

- TADMARTON Heath professional John Stubbs and amateur John Burton moved into regional qualifying for the Lombard Trophy next month.
The pair won the club’s competition with a nett 66 to get one step closer to the final, held at Gleneagles in September.
