ALI Morteza smashed a magnificent 122 and Adam Cook stroked a classy 63 not out as Cumnor found scoring easy to at home to Tiddington.

The title favourites amassed 230-3 from their 53 overs.

Nick Pykett’s 61 was the only highlight in Tiddington’s 147 all out. Seamer Carl Thompson took 3-35, then Cook claimed 4-25 with his off spin.

Only 235 runs were scored for the loss of 19 wickets in the match between Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts and Abingdon Vale, before the latter prevailed by the narrowest of margins.

Nondies slumped to 117 all out, Pablo Mukherjee hitting 38 and Paul White taking 3-27.

But the hosts hit back through Zia Hamid (5-35) and Mark Strong (3-41), and Vale edged to 118-9, with White and Adam Scholey putting on 20 for the last wicket.

Gordon Harris took 6-30 to set Aston Rowant 2nd on the path to a straightforward win at Challow & Childrey.

Nigel Hill’s 48 was the only contribution of note in Challow’s 148 all out.

Aussie Luke Stutter took 3-52 after tea, but Thomas Condon (35) steered Rowant to 149-5.

Cropredy are up to second – the highest position in their history – after a three-wicket win at Bletchley Town.

James Coleman and Jamie Jennings both finished with figures of 3-44 as Town struggled to 144-9. Matt Shepherd hit 43 and Jude Ramanadanpulle scored 37.

Ed Somerton (32) got Cropredy going, Mitchell Darville (46no) seeing them home.

Manoj Parmar (71) and Ryan Chapman (32) helped Bledlow Village to 231-7 at Wolverton Town.

James Shirley then took 3-17, but Aky Hussain (37no) led Town to a draw on 139-6.
