HANNAH England achieved the World Championship A standard time in her first Diamond League outing of the year in Eugene, Oregon.
However, the Oxford City runner (pictured) had to settle for eighth place in the 1,500m, despite a quick time of 4mins 3.38secs.
England, who won her first race of the season in last week’s Bupa Westminster Mile, was happy with her performance.
“Painful last 50m, but ended up with my fastest ever season opener so can’t complain,” she tweeted.
