OXFORDSHIRE TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

SEVEN athletes enjoyed gold medal hat-tricks on a successful weekend at Horspath.

There were field event trebles for Radley’s Francisco Jesus, Aislinn Baird, Kathryn Woodcock and Nicole Burger, plus former member Sam Molyneux.

Oxford City sprinter Jack Judson impressed at under 13 boys level.

Completing the group was under 13 girl Isabella Gilkes, who was allowed to compete as a guest after failing to meet the entry deadline.

Jesus won gold in the senior men’s high jump, long jump and triple jump, recording 1.60m, 5.32m and 11.28m respectively.

Baird bagged senior ladies’ titles at shot (8.71), discus (25.85) and hammer (29.18).

Molyneux, from Wantage, who competes for Enfield & Haringey, triumphed in the senior ladies’ high jump (1.45), long jump (4.91) and javelin (31.42).

Woodcock proved a dominant force in the shot, discus and hammer at under 17 girls’ level – with respective distances of 9.03, 38.80 and 37.30.

Clubmate Burger won the under 20 100m hurdles in 15.89secs, the pole vault in 2.00m and javelin in 24.44.

Judson’s golds came in the 100m (14.34), 200m (29.77) and 75m hurdles (15.84).

Gilkes took the 100m in an impressive 13.36, taking her to 11th in the UK under 13 rankings.

She added the 70m hurdles title in 12.37 and the long jump in 4.34.
