The OCA came out on top by seven runs against the Cherwell League in their representative match at Garsington.

Minster Lovell’s Charlie Fisher top-scored with 50 as the OCA were dismissed for 170 after winning the toss and electing to bat.

Westbury opener Sam Willett weighed in with 35, while Bledlow Village’s Adam Mould and Cropredy’s Ed Somerton took three wickets apiece.

Oxenford’s Aaron Hirtenstein produced an excellent spell of swing bowling to peg the Cherwell back at the start of their innings, claiming the wickets of skipper Robbie Eason, Simon Hole and Ian Demain.

Mould led the Cherwell’s fightback with 59, but after he became one of four victims for Shrivenham’s Adam Tucker, the OCA tightened their grip to secure victory.
