ROGER Goodall was among three men to hit sixes as Six Bells C Kidlington won 2-1 in their Premier section clash at Gladiators Club A, writes ANDY BEAL.

Steve Horne and Alan Surman also claimed maximums, but Goodall top-scored with 14 dolls (4-6-4) as the visitors won 27-16, 29-22, 27-31.

Philip Adams also whipped off 14 dolls (5-4-5) as the Cricketers B won 3-0 at home to the New Club A.

After taking the opening leg 28-18, they went on to win 28-19, 26-20.

Red Lion A Eynsham lost for the first time this season, going down 2-1 at home to Vikings Sports B.

The visitors won the opener 32-24, but Red Lion levelled on three sticks after the next leg was tied 27-27.

Vikings took the decider 30-25.

Ampleforth Arms A won their first game, 2-1 against fellow Section 1 side Red Lion B Eynsham.

A fast start saw Ampleforth win 23-18, 21-19, before the Lion hit back to take the final leg 28-19.

Luke Purcell bagged 13 dolls (4-4-5) to lead Rose Hill Club to a 3-0 win against the Bullnose A in Section 2.

They won the opening leg 22-18, but needed three stick shoot-outs in the next two, which finished 18-18, 16-16.

Anchor man Darren Cox whipped off five dolls to give Team Monarchs a 18-17 win the opener at home to Cowley Workers.

They went on to take the following legs 19-16, 18-15.

Charlie Buckingham’s 13 dolls (3-6-4) were in vain for the Woodman as they lost 2-1 at the Black Prince A.

The hosts, for whom Chris Price also hit 13 (6-4-3), won the opening leg 21-18, lost the next 22-21, but held their nerve on three sticks after the decider ended 23-23.

Chris Webb hit 14 dolls (4-5-5) to lead The Six Bells B Quarry to a 3-0 win at home to Tiddington Cricket Club in Section 4.

Supported by teammate Terry Cox (4-4-5), they won 21-19, 20-11, 20-15.

James Gilding also claimed a 14-doll haul (5-5-4) as New Club B won 3-0 at home to Cowley Conservative Club with scores of 18-14, 19-16, 15-13.

Donnington Club C’s unbeaten start in Section 6 ended with a 2-1 loss at The Priory.

The hosts won the opening two legs 14-9, 12-11, before Donnington took the third 19-16.

Red Lion A Kidlington edged to a 2-1 win over Red Lion C Eynsham.

The hosts took the opening leg on three sticks after it was tied 12-12.

Eynsham equalised 17-15, but Kidlington won the final leg 12-11.

Despite John Warland failing to trouble the doll, Chequers B beat Kidlington Sports Club A 2-1.

Teammate Harry Jenkins starred with ten dolls (2-4-4) as they won the first two legs 16-11, 15-12, before Kidlington took the last leg 14-12.

Ampleforth Arms won 3-0 at The Catherine Wheel in Section 7.

All three legs were closely-fought, as Ampleforth won 17-16, 16-15, 14-12.

Nelson Smith hit 12 dolls (4-5-3) as The Red Lion A Yarnton beat Donnington Arms 2-1 in Section 8.

After losing the opener 15-12, Red Lion responded to win 18-15, 18-14.

Seamus O’Malley whipped off 11 dolls (5-3-3) as Six Bells B Kidlington swept Florence Park Club aside 18-9, 18-15, 20-12 win.

Paul Smith’s 12 dolls (4-4-4) helped North Oxford Con Club B beat Kings Arms Kidlington 2-1 in Section 9.

They lost the opener 17-13, but hit back to take the next two 15-11, 18-15.

A 3-0 win sent Corner House into a three-way tie at the top of Section 10.

They won the first two legs against the Cricketers Arms 8-2, 10-8, but needed a three stick shoot-out in the third after it was tied 11-11.
