David Murphy claimed two gold medals as Abingdon Vale enjoyed a successful time in the south east regional age group championships at Crawey.
The 14-year-old won the 100m and 200m breaststroke finals in club record times and also came fourth in the 400m individual medley Clubmate Emily Ford, 11, won a silver medal in the 100m backstroke and achieved fifth place in both the 200m backstroke and 100m butterfly finals.
Shannon Motha, 14, was a triple bronze medallist in the 50m freestyle, 100m backstroke and 100m butterfly.
The club’s other finalists were Joseph Law, 13, who was fifth in the 100m freestyle and Trudi Wheatley, 13, who came seventh in the 200m butterfly.
Freddie Wilkinson, of Did-cot Barramundi, achieving two bronze medals in the 400m individual medley (5mins 56.95secs) and the 200m breaststroke (3.05.72).
The 11-year-old from Chol-sey, also came fourth in both the 100m breaststroke and 1500m freestyle events and was eighth in the 200m freestyle.
Clubmates Alfie Baum, 10, Oliver Beard, 14, Oliver Rip-ley, 14, and Poppy Concannon (14) also completed.
Abingdon Vale’s Green team were in runners-up spot behind Swindon when the club hosted the Vale Cup.
The top three teams each received a framed certificate, while Swindon were presented with the cup by Tristram Torrance, of sponsors Finders Keepers.
Result: 1 Swindon 201pts, 2 Abingdon Vale Green 192, 3 Newbury 180, 4 Wantage 155, 5 Oxford 126, 6 Abingdon Vale Yellow 116.
