Flying Solo Trampoline Club member Nikki Bayer qualified for the British Championships in Birmingham on July 6-7 after finishing fourth at a national gala competition at Bath University’s sports training village.
Bayer, 15, from Wantage, produced a stunning performance in the Under 17 National C Girls.
She achieved a personal best total in the two qualifying rounds and time of flight score, which was the highest for any routine in her group.
Her score of 82.35 not only earned qualification to the national finals, but also saw her sail over the required mark to receive an automatic promotional offer to FIG B – the next level of difficulty in the sport.
Teammate Ben Goodall, 14, from Harwell, who had already qualified for the Birmingham finals at a competition in Gillingham, continued to build on his already solid season in Under 17 National C Boys.
He recorded a personal best score from his impressive set routine as well as successfully completing a more difficult voluntary routine.
Goodall’s high score meant he too received a promotional offer.
