Oxfordshire Under 15s opened their season in style with a five-wicket victory against Hertfordshire in Hertford.

Following a 45-minute delay while a set of stumps could be located, Hertfordshire struggled after winning the toss. Emily Ong led the Oxon attack 3-8, while Riannon Brown took 2-5.

Other wickets were shared among the nine bowlers used as the hosts were dismissed out for 86 in 35 overs.

Oxon openers Ong and Eliza Goode put on 30 runs came from the first five overs.

They slipped to 49-4 before Alex Mitchell and Chloe Whinmill halted the slide.

Whinmill chipped a catch to cover at 67-5, but the visitors got home with nearly 14 overs to spare.

Oxfordshire Under 11s lost by six wickets away to Berkshire. After an opening partnership of 40 between Kate Brine and Holly Senior, Oxon were restricted to 92-5 from their 25 overs, with an amazing 67 runs coming from extras.

Berkshire reached the target by in the 19th over.
