Horspath Hammers return to Elite League action with an eagerly-awaited home match against Poole tomorrow (2pm).
The Quaysiders did the double over Hammers last season for the first time, but could not prevent the Oxfordshire team lifting the title.
Poole will bring in a number of their Polish riders, including European champion Marcin Szymanski. His clashes with Hammers’ world champion Lukasz Nowacki and former British champion Mark Boaler sure to be a highlight.
Poole also have former Hammer Steve Harris in their side.
Harris, who left Horspath at the end of last season, is making his first return. Former British champion Gavin Wheeler and top English rider Tom Reed, a Village track specialist, should also feature.
Hammers have Shaun Rudman back, having missed the two-point defeat at Sheffield a fortnight ago.
Dave Carmichael returns from injury.
