The latest North Oxford AS Summer Canal series match featured a cracking 5lb 0oz chub – a real specimen for the King’s Bridge stretch of the Oxford Canal.
It was caught on bread by Bob Yeomans (RAF Garbolino), who added some bits for a winning weight of 7.14.0.
Second spot went to Steve Wildman with 3.7.0, including a decent skimmer, plus roach on bread and worm.
Andy Crisp was third with 3.2.0 of perch on red maggot.
The third Ann Malone Memorial match for Sobell House Hospice was fished by 14 at Stable Lake, where the carp were biting well.
John Fisher had 51.4.0 of them on the method and various baits, followed by Anthony Alder with 47.8.0 and Stephen Malone with 41.12.0.
