CLUBS will compete in two different formats in this season’s Serious Cricket Home Counties Premier League.

A 50-over competition will form half of the league programme, running alongside 120-over matches in Division 1 and 110-over games in Divisions 2 East & West.

The first five and the last four games will be in the 50-over version, with the nine matches of the longer format in between.

There will be 25 points for a win in both competitions, with 15 for a tie and six for an abandoned match or the batting and bowling bonus points a team has accrued if they are higher when the game is called off.

Losing teams in the 50-over competition will pick up bonus points.

League positions will be determined by the overall points totals from both competitions.

Matches in the 50-over competition will start at 11.30am, with lunch breaks of 40 minutes remaining.
