WOMEN'S CRICKET
A NEW Oxfordshire Cricket Board (OCB) women’s midweek league will begin on Tuesday, May 21.
The competition features established clubs Banbury, Charlbury, Freeland and Oxford, plus newcomers Moreton and Wittenham.
All games are limited overs format, with the league aiming to promote “social, but competive” cricket.
“This is a great new initiative, providing the perfect short format product that Oxfordshire clubs are looking for in the potentially high-growth area of ladies’ cricket,” said competition manager Tim Haworth.
