LUKE McCormick has become the first of the dozen players released by Oxford United last week to join another club.

The 29-year-old has signed a one-year deal at Plymouth Argyle, where he made more than 150 appearances in his first spell in Devon.

McCormick was sacked by the Pilgrims in 2008 after he was found guilty of causing the death by dangerous driving of two children.

The goalkeeper was released from prison last year and after a brief spell at Truro City he joined the U's in January on a short-term deal as cover for Ryan Clarke.

McCormick made 15 starts for United before being released.
